Bruce Wayne Working With Kettlebell Exercises to Improve Physicality

By Rob Sutter

"The Dark Knight Rises" was, in a way, the time when Bruce Wayne was the most susceptible. This isn't to say that the other films within the Batman series didn't showcase the caped crusader as someone who's flawed but it seems like the finale of Batman's saga showed him as someone who was worn in many ways. He had to be able to pull himself out of the ditch he found himself in, literally and figuratively. I believe the process could have been sped up with the use of kettlebell exercises.

Those who have seen Bruce Wayne for the duration of this movie know very well of just how broken he was to start off with. After the deaths of his close friend Harvey Dent and possible love interest Rachel Dawes, he went into recluse and his physical stature took a turn for the worst. Wayne, who contested for so long as Batman in order to bring thieves to their knees, was reduced to implementing a cane in order to get from place to place. It's obvious that he needed some work, though I'd have to imagine there were a few programs that would have helped the process.

This is undeniably true for kettlebell exercises, which would help Wayne out in many respects. For instance, Wayne's body was very rigid during that point in his life and the only way to get back into prime condition is through exercise. These workouts, endorsed by fitness authorities such as Lorna, could be used in order to help Wayne improve just about every area of his body at once. He would need a better-rounded workout and I don't think that there's a better one to turn to than this.

These exercises would also have to come into play once Wayne found himself at the mercy of the one known as Bane. As strong and ruthless as they come, Bane proved to be the most threatening of Batman's many foes in the physical sense. In fact, Wayne had to be broken once more in order to find the strength to come back and bring the fight to the hardened foe once and for all. Wayne might have been able to avoid that problem with further training, kettlebells included, beforehand.

There's no doubt that Batman's ascent from the ashes is one that cannot be taken flippantly. In fact, I think that he has lost the most, only to come back and sacrifice just a little bit more. It's not an easy routine being Bruce Wayne, in spite of the fact that he's a reasonably affluent person on the outside, or at least that's how he used to be. He can reach the prime physical shape as Batman once more, though, and I believe that's when all of the training will pay off.
